Quickstart — your first course in 10 minutes

Sign up, generate a course from a prompt, edit a scene, publish to SCORM. The whole loop.

This guide walks you through the full author loop: create an account, generate a course, refine a scene, publish a SCORM package, and upload it to your LMS. About ten minutes, assuming you already know what topic you want to teach.

1. Create an account & workspace

  1. Go to /sign-up, enter your email, verify, and pick a workspace name. Workspaces are billing & access boundaries — every course lives inside one.
  2. On first launch you land on the onboarding tour. You can skip it and run it later from Settings → Tour.

2. Generate a course

Click New course → Create with AI. The wizard asks for:

  • Topic prompt — one or two sentences. The more specific you are about audience + tone, the closer the first draft lands.
  • Source materials (optional) — drag PDFs or DOCX files in. They're parsed into the prompt so the AI grounds the course in your content.
  • Instructional design principle — Bloom's, 5E, Gagné, etc. We use this to shape scene goals.
  • Language — pick one of the 29 supported languages. Narration, alignment, and UI follow.

Generation takes 30–90 seconds depending on length. You'll land in the editor with every scene populated and the per-scene script already chunked.

3. Edit a scene

The editor is four panes: scenes list · canvas · inspector · timeline. Most edits are point-and-click — drag an element, tweak it in the inspector. The script tab is where you change what the narrator says; cue chips let you trigger animations at the exact word.

Common first edits:

  • Replace the cover image (drag a file onto the canvas).
  • Edit the script of one scene — the narration regenerates on save.
  • Add a quiz: Elements → Quiz → Multiple choice.

4. Publish

Press Publish in the top bar. Pick a target:

  • SCORM 1.2 or 2004 — downloads a zip ready for Moodle, Canvas, TalentLMS, LearnUpon, Docebo, Cornerstone — any SCORM-compliant LMS.
  • cmi5 — for modern LMSes (Moodle 4+, Rustici Engine).
  • LTI 1.3 — generates a deep-link URL the instructor pastes into Canvas/Blackboard/D2L.
  • Embed link — a signed iframe URL for your own site or app.

5. Upload to your LMS

For SCORM/cmi5: download the zip, open your LMS's "Add SCORM activity" dialog, upload the file. The course appears as a launchable activity within seconds.

For LTI: paste the deep-link URL into the LMS's external-tool dialog. The first launch will redirect through our LTI flow, register the tool deployment, and remember it from then on.

That's the whole loop. From here, dig into scene anatomy, regenerating a scene, or LTI deep linking.
