How the estimate works
We count scenes (from the manifest's <item> nodes) and assets (<resource> nodes), apply two simple rules of thumb — about 0.25 hr / scene with Coursentials vs ~1.7 hr / scene with Storyline-class tools — and round to the nearest half- hour. We're transparent about it: this is a back-of-envelope number so you have a starting point, not an SLA.
Your file is processed in-memory. We don't render any of the source, don't persist the bytes, and don't share the analysis with anyone. Hard cap of 10MB per upload + zip-bomb defences.
