Block-based simplicity, with a real canvas.
Rise's responsive blocks are great for linear courses. Coursentials adds a pixel-precise canvas when you need it, AI that drafts the whole course (not just sections), and the full LTI 1.3 Advantage suite — including AGS grade passback.

Where Rise 360 wins.
- Mobile-responsive output, out of the box.
Rise's block-based output reflows beautifully on every screen size. Our canvas-based output is responsive but not as elegant on phones for text-heavy linear courses — Q3 ships a block-only output mode that closes that gap.
- Mature template library.
Rise comes with hundreds of polished block templates. Our template gallery is growing but smaller; SmartArt + Layout AI compensate for many cases.
- Articulate 360 ecosystem.
If you already own 360 for Storyline + Review + Replay, Rise is free with it. Standalone Coursentials competes head-to-head; bundled Rise has a sunk-cost edge.
Where Coursentials wins.
- Canvas when blocks aren't enough.
Diagrams, simulations, anything with absolute positioning — Rise can't do it. Coursentials switches between block-driven layout and full canvas freedom per scene.
- AI that drafts the WHOLE course.
Rise AI Assistant helps with one section at a time. Our wizard takes a one-line brief and outputs every scene, scripted and narrated, in a single pass.
- AI narration with cue alignment.
Rise reads block-level audio. We generate per-scene narration, align it word-by-word with WhisperX, and sync visual cues to the spoken script automatically.
- Full LTI 1.3 Advantage.
Deep Linking, AGS grade passback, Dynamic Registration — none of which Rise supports. Your LMS gets a tracked, gradable, instructor-pickable resource.
At a glance.
Common questions.
Can I import my Rise courses?
Not directly — Rise files are a proprietary cloud-only format. The migration path is to publish them as SCORM, then either keep them as legacy or rebuild scene-by-scene in Coursentials. For larger libraries, talk to sales about white-glove migration.
Does Coursentials match Rise's mobile responsiveness?
For block-style courses, yes — though our canvas-based output is slightly less elegant on small phones for text-heavy lessons. A block-only output mode ships Q3 to close that gap.
Will my LMS work?
Same Rise + LMS pairs that work today work with Coursentials, plus we add full LTI 1.3 Advantage which most LMSs prefer over SCORM.
Is AI generation really better than Rise's AI Assistant?
Different category. Rise AI helps with one section. Our wizard outputs an entire scripted, narrated, scene-laid-out course in one pass. Both have value; we lean further into "do the whole job."
