The "85% faster" claim, broken down honestly.

On the homepage we say Coursentials builds a course in ~15% of the time Storyline takes. That number didn't come from a vibe.
The benchmark, exactly
12-scene compliance module on GDPR essentials. Single author, experienced in both tools. Fully scripted, fully narrated, published to SCORM 1.2 + LTI 1.3, with score reporting and a 5-question quiz.
- Storyline 360: 38 hours of authoring + review.
- Coursentials: 4 hours, including the same review pass.
That's 89% faster on this specific task. We round to "~85%" because for course types we've tested less rigorously — sales enablement, product onboarding — the gain ranged from 70% to 92%.
Where it's NOT 85%
Highly bespoke trigger-heavy simulations. Storyline's variables + states + triggers system still wins for those; our branching simulations cover the common cases, but a 40-state interactive sim is faster to build in Storyline today.
